Bali Day 2

To kick-start the day, we did water sports at Tanjung Benoa. You'll have to pay for the rental of towels and lockers, which was pretty cheap. I did like the thrill but I felt it wasn't enough. For S$50 (price was after bargaining by our driver) for 3 activities per pax, it's definitely not worth it. We're told each activity will last for 15-20 mins but in actual fact it only lasted for like 10 mins or even lesser. The beach crews even told us to pay more + tip them if we wanted to go more rounds. Say what? No way! After about 30mins including changing of our attire, we finally left the place with messy and wet hair. Totally uncomfortable, but thankfully the weather was really good so we could dry ourselves while walking along the beaches.

We're headed towards the Water Blow at Nusa Dua. No water blow when we were there, but still a good view to relax and admire the scenery.

I felt that you could totally skip Nusa Dua beach because there's really nothing there, except to stroll along the beach and chill with coconut drinks. Most of the people there were prolly the hotel guests. I also read online that only the hotel guests could use the lounge chairs on the beach and you could be chased away if you're not one of them.

Padang Padang Beach was the surfers' paradise, but I personally find it really small. To get there, you'll have to walk down a flight of steep stairs in a cave-like area. It's quite dangerous, and not to mention there were monkeys around. Be careful of your belongings! Entrance fee: S$5/pax.

Uluwatu Temple was packed with a whole lot of Chinese tourists, so be prepared for the crowd you're about to face. I can't remember the entrance fee, but heck it because you want to enjoy. At the entrance, you'll be given sarongs to wrap around your waist to cover your legs. If your bottom covers the knee and more, you need not wear them. I think it's cooler with the sarong so I'll still go there in shorts. This is one of the attraction that I enjoyed going to because there's the cliff and waves to admire at!

Not far from the Uluwatu Temple, we ended our day at Single Fin where you can admire the Blue Point beach where surfers do their thing. Grab a bowl of Acai to cool off before having dinner at Single Fin. There's just too many houseflies at the upper deck so if you can, get your tables at these tables facing the sea instead. You've been warned.

We headed back to hotel after dinner and soaked ourselves in the pool at night. Such a tiring day but a day filled with beautiful visuals of the island!
