Twenty Grammes

The following day after trying out The Bakery Chef, boyfriend and I went over to Twenty Grammes to try out one of the "insta-worthy" Charcoal Waffles with Liu Sha sauce, only to come to a conclusion: Over-hyped.

Maybe because we were new to charcoal waffles, the taste of the waffles was quite good at the first few bites. However we both agreed that the waffles were not as moist despite it being crispy on the outer and soft in the inner.
The liu sha sauce was not that impressive either; it sets on the waffle and ice cream after awhile. The sandy-like texture of the sauce didn't help in providing any moisture to our waffles :(
While I had cookie butter ice cream, boyfriend had the Dark Chocolate Sorbet, and both were equally good! It was the only thing that helped "moisturize" the charcoal waffle. However, we thought it could be given in a bigger serving, and $3 for subsequent scoops definitely isn't worth the money.
Overall: 3/5
I might want to try out the Belgian waffles to give it a second chance, but would rather buy one portion with extra scoop of ice cream and share it with my partner instead, just to be on the safe side for both my taste buds and my pocket.
x.
