On the midweek, Jann and I met up and decided to go Boufe Boutique Cafe, located within the Phoenix Park along Tanglin Road!
I did some research online just before I left house, and found out that if you're lucky enough, you can ask the security guard to send you up to the cafe by buggy ride (provided that you ask nicely). But for our case, we were SUPER lucky to get 'invited' by the security guard to hop onto the buggy ride (together with 2 other friendly girls who got off the same bus as us) so that he could send us to the cafe!!
He said "Come come! Going Boufe right? I see your face I know already".
Thank you uncle! It was a truly amazing experience for me to go to the cafe by a buggy ride. Totally cool~
If you're there for the first time, you might get lost among the short and white buildings. There's also Spruce Cafe and some other schools for kids to attend.
How to get there:
1. Alight at Redhill Station.
2. Exit by the right side, cross over to the bus stop and board bus 132.
3. Alight at the 2nd stop (you should see Chatsworth Rd opposite the bus stop).
4. Walk into the gate, go by the narrow road, past the security guard house and grammar school.
You'll need to turn right after walking for awhile!
We reached there at about 215PM and surprisingly, there was no crowd. Only a few tables were occupied, and there's also the outdoor seats which seemed pretty chillax and romantic!
Most of the cafes these days are into the minimalist look, and Boufe is no exception. However, I liked how they added in a twist of geometrical designs into the minimalist concept. Just look at those lightsss!
We ordered:
Tiramisu in a jar
Raspberry Chocolate Tart
Iced Lychee Tea
Buffalo Wings
There's brunch menu (10am-3pm) and also the dinner menu (6pm-10pm). Between 3pm and 6pm, they serve Entrees, beverages and desserts which are available at the display counter.
Menu may be slightly limited, but I felt that that's because this place is much more suitable for chill-out or catch-up session! No music were played, so you can expect the place to be filled with chattering or absolute quietness.
All items are nett priced (GST is already included inside).
Jann made a short and simple vlog filled with each of our own blabbering and certain unglam sides of me. Also it shows you snippets of how the place looked like! It pretty much summed up our short catch-up sesh today~
Oh yes, we were totally starstrucked that day!
We saw Mediacorp Artistes and also Blogger Naomi Neo while crossing the road of Orchard/Somerset. Then we saw Divian Nair while I was trying out my heels in Charles & Keith?!?!
Much good luck that day! Totally enjoyed the few hours with Jann before we part ways~
