Taipei Day 3

Getting a little lazy, we woke up late knowing that the life in Taipei starts late, and went for breakfast at Oven Coffee located at one of the streets in Ximending.

A very small cafe which fits only about 6 couples, but its interior design and choices on the menu wasn't bad at all. Their drinks are prolly more worthy than the Belgian waffles. I had Rose Cafe Latte which was amazing!! My very first time hearing of such flavor for coffee. Not too bad, but pretty pricey for just one waffle like this. (About NT70~80/SGD$3+)

Main location today was Wufenpu, commonly known as a wholesale commercial area. Taking a train to Houshanpi Station and walking to the place wouldn't take long. Once you exit from the station, you're just 250M away! Simply walk straight until you see Sparta Cafe/Leaf/Cosmed and you know you're already there :)

As usual, I did my homework before heading here. Knowing that this place only opens in the noon time, we reached there at 12PM, but it was still too early! Most of the shops were closed, only a few were starting to set up their stores. Thankfully, one accessories shop was opened already and we stayed inside pretty long just to choose gifts for our friends. By the time we came out, all shops were opened and we continued our shopping~

Got too hungry, and I took the chance to ask one of the store owners if there were any nice meals here worth eating. A lady recommended 25号厨房 for Italian meals such as pasta and burgers, and I listened to her obediently and settled down! Amazingly, the items on menu were very cheap and not forgetting that there were lunch sets promotion going on until 530PM!

If you've ordered Burgers, you'll get complimentary side dishes (choose 1 out of 3). On top of that, you'll get $10 off your meal! If you've ordered main meals such as pastas, risottos etc., you'll get complimentary soup/drink/dessert (choose 2 out of 3)

His meal: Jack Daniels Beef Burger + Salad
My meal: Grilled Chicken Risotto in mixed sauce + Corn soup + Green Tea
Total bill: NT445 (SGD$18.90)
SUPER DUPER CHEAP AND WORTH IT!!! Food portion was very generous; my risotto and corn soup were both half-spoon deep! Definitely must-try over here. :)

Last stop of the day: Danshui/Tamsui.
Take a train from Taipei Main Station to Danshui Station -- it takes only less than an hour! Meanwhile, take a look at the scenery of Taiwan while on train :)
I purposely planned to come here for the Lover's Bridge located at the Fishermen's Wharf. Seeing that it's a few km away from Tamsui station, we both decided to walk along the streets to get there.

Beside me was a little girl posing by herself while her mom was her photographer. I thought it was cute so I tried to be like her, imitating her facial expression too. HAHAH I'm so annoying right.

Felt so cheated when I saw that the ice-cream wasn't as long as what others have posted. Turned out to be that you've to order to big one for the long long ice-cream! Mehhh I threw it away after that, partly due to the lack of ice-cream taste of this ice-cream haha oh dear.

Among the old streets of Danshui, there was a shop selling many antique stuffed toys but outside was a fridge with 5 different designs of macaroons - Cony from Line, Totoro and 3 others which I couldn't remember.

This uncle was so hilarious with his belly stunts and the ice-cream to tease his customers. He got the crowd laughing the night away!

Got quite late and we still needed to get more gifts, so we headed back to Ximending and stopped even before we reach Fishermen's Wharf! At the cross junction of Ximending we spotted a crowd surrounding this lady who was holding onto her Raccoon. Having it as a pet was the most crazy idea ever!! Looks pretty scary but kinda cute as well?

Back to the hotel and started packing for our last day. :(
