Ever since the opening of Nakhon Kitchen, I've been really into Thai food. I loved how the spicyness really gets into my tummy and warms it up, expanding my appetite! Maybe that's my new comfort food.. Hmm.
Also, Ed recently started using Groupon, maybe bc he realized how much one gets to save when using the deals on Groupon. He found this deal at $14.90 for $30 cash voucher at Mediterranean Thai, located at Paya Lebar so we decided to give it a shot!
We were really excited to try the dishes out bc there was a variety of dishes to choose from, but the prices can really be abit high, I don't know why. For $30, we ordered the family set of Tom Yum Chicken soup. But to our disappointment, the servings were quite small, totally not suitable for a family! I wished we had more meat inside. On the brighter note, the spicyness of the soup can be really addictive. I couldn't stop drinking it!
We also ordered the fish in Thai sauce for our side dish. In photo, it looked like there was going to be a big serving (it was priced at above $10) but the servings were really small too. Taste wise - decent but nothing really special! I'd prefer any sweet and sour fish from any other tze char stalls outside.
Good experience at Mediterranean Thai bc we got to step into a new mall and at an area we hardly visit, but I wouldn't come in if it wasn't for the good deal from Groupon. Nakhon Kitchen, anytime!
Thanks Ed for the treat, love ღ
