Last Friday after work, Ed prepared a surprise for me! The clues given to me was "films/movies" and all I could think of was film-screening at National Museum of Singapore (bc that's all I could find on the Internet). Confident me was still so happy to tell him that there's only 4 places along the circle line where we can watch films!
Little did I know that nearby the Promenade station has got one too, and that is the very rundown building just beside Golden Mile Complex - Golden Studio.
On the right side of the building's entrance, there's 2 lifts serving the building. Head up to Level 5 and you'll be at The Projector!
This place is very old-school but it's run by hipsters. The crews were quite friendly, and the place is simply cool! You'll see basic food that were served in today's cinema, such as Nacho & Cheese and Popcorn. They also have pizza?!
I didn't try any of the food as we had to fill our tummy with proper meals so we ate at Astons which was just diagonally opposite the building.
At 'The Projector', there's only 2 theatres. However, you can expect an entire room of seats! On that day, there were 3 different movies to be screened at 3 different timings. We caught the earliest film which was 'Ned Rifle' at 730PM. You can also check the schedule of the films on their website here!

There were plenty of seats catering to everyone and we loved the sofa seats, like who doesn't?!
The above photos were graphics you see on the wall while walking towards their restrooms. Cool huh? I've no idea what's the concept of these drawings and even though it looked spooky on the first look, I slowly accepted the artwork.
Many spiral staircases in Singapore, but it's my first time seeing a rainbow umbrella at the end of the spirals. That's pretty smart of them.
I'll definitely come back to The Projector despite the building being rundown. The fact that the place is very quiet and relaxing already checked my list! Ned Rifle was quite an interesting show with plot twists, so I really enjoyed watching it.
