W39 Bistro & Bakery

It's the first day of January of 2015!!!
Happy New Year to y'all!

First of, thank you everyone for always reading my blog. I don't know every one who've read my blog, except for some loyal friends who've told me that they consistently read my blog and have seen me grow. As I blog and blog, I find myself going the particular direction - cafes.

I'm always sharing photos of food from different cafes and trust me, I really enjoy that. I don't get paid, unless you count happiness as a form of payment. I like to see the number of likes for my foodporn photos grow on Instagram, because it shows that they appreciate my work and the effort I took in photographing them. Till date, I've remembered some of the Instagram users that always like my food photos!
P.S Thank you @sgfoodies on Instagram for featuring one of my photos too!

So, be it sharing on Instagram or in blog, I'm still thankful I've viewers and likers :)

I spent the very first day of 2015 with my secondary school clique. It's been awesome, to be able to meet them for a short while. Before approaching 2015, we've all made a plan to visit a cafe nearby on first of January, so our choice was...

W39 Bistro!

We reached the cafe at around 1PM (takes about 15 minutes to walk from Clementi MRT Station). We all expected the cafe to be very packed since it's the New Year, and W39 sometimes requires booking/reservation on special occasions. We saw that the seats outdoor were fully occupied, and thought we had to spend the time waiting. However, when asked for a table for 4, we were quickly seated inside! Lucky us :)

Really liked how comfortable the cafe was. Small but not so packed to the extent that you've a hard time walking within the shop or have to sit closely to your table in fear of those behind you disturbing your comfort!

Eggs Benedict ($10)

Two of my friends had this dish and we all felt that the hollandaise sauce was given generously. The poached eggs were well-done too! I think it's really price-worthy as well :)

Chef's Special Nyona Mee Siam ($9.50)

Fluffy Pancakes ($10)

I felt that my 3-stack pancakes was the most worthy item of them all. With fresh assorted fruits, maple syrup, strawberry jam and butter to go with, the fluffy pancakes were also very thick and fluffy which really lived up to its name! I'm glad it didn't disappoint. In fact, I was already full on the first stack of pancakes! I shared the rest with my 3 friends and we didn't even finish them.

Till now, I can't understand why the pancakes isn't a thumbs-up item on the menu?!?! I definitely will recommend you guys to try it!

There were some photobooth objects to play with even though there's no proper backdrop, but anything in a cafe is pretty enough for you to take photos!

Final verdict for W39 Bistro & Bakery:
Staff was friendly, service was good. Food was awesome and price-worthy! This cafe have everything a cafe should have - lots of magazines to browse through freely, pretty interior design, photobooth items, classic selection of cakes and drinks too! Best to come between 12-3PM so that you can have the entire menu to choose from!

Definitely will come back for more. :)
