There's no such thing as Monday Blues when you're with the right companion! Shan and I finally met today after postponing our date last week, and here we are at Upper Thomson Road for a great lunch.
Our initial plan was to chill out at Habitat Coffee but it's closed on Monday, so we changed to Little Pancakes, also to fill our tummies better (especially mine)!
This plate of All Day Breakfast has got to be the best Breakfast plate I've ever had. Apart from the generous servings of every little food, I'm so lucky that they ran out of potato salad so they gave us a choice of 1) more garden salad or 2) baked beans in replacement of the potato salad.
I was caught between the choices of the drinks because what I've in my mind was Hazelnut, Irish Cream and Tiramisu flavor for my coffee. Me being lucky, I had all three available right in front of me on the menu. Since Shan wanted to try out Tiramisu, I settled for Irish Cream, and got to try out her Iced Tiramisu Latte. I preferred mine and she preferred hers, so it looks like we've ordered the right drink!
| Iced Irish Cream Latte ($5.70) | Iced Tiramisu Latte ($5.70) | Big Fan of All Day Breakfast ($10.90) |
Everything fell in the right place! What's not to love cafes with NO GST & Service Charges?! Nett prices + good quality food and drinks + generous servings are probably the best thing that one can ever chance upon any eatery. I'll definitely be back for more :)
We departed from the shop at 330PM and started walking downwards to Town, passing by the long stretch of Thomson Road, Novena and Newton before reaching our destination. It was a total of about up to 2.5hrs of walking and it's an achievement unlocked for Shan! Congrats for pulling through this with me. :)
Awkward feeling for both our tummies after the excessive walking and from eating so much (the pancakes totally filled our tummies) but we still survived this journey! Let this be a promise to our long-lasting friendship :) Thank you for your companion and we'll meet up again soon!
