Hey y'all! Back with an older post which was probably about 2 weeks ago (?) After dealing with the individual assignment, Ed and I went down town to have dinner which was a surprise for him. It was a special day for both of us, as it would be the very first time I brought my boyfriend to meet my friends, and it's Ed's first time meeting my friends officially!
Dinner was at BAJA FRESH (I swear it's not that fresh since it's quite fast-food style) and it's totally not worth the price, hence not worth the photo-taking and featuring on my blog. It wasn't filling at all, so we head over to Montana Brew Bar at POMO Mall, just diagonally opposite from Baja's.
I've always wanted to try the Red Velvet Waffles which Yonz mentioned that it was either a hit or miss thing but I've decided to just give it a shot bc why not? They ran out of stock when I came for the first time and now I finally can have it! While the rest of the waffles are available in two types of base - Crispy or Fluffy - the Red Velvet waffles are only available in the crispy base. I loved how it's so crispy on the outside, yet fluffy when you bite it!
Not too sure about the Chocolate Banana waffles but I'm sure it tasted pretty well too, since the guys have had no complaints about the taste, texture etc..
I'm not really liking the more experienced female staff's service (the one doing the coffee and she looked like the boss there) but the young man in geeky specs is waaaay much better. He was friendly and patient to wait for our drama that goes like..
"I pay first"
"No I pay first"
"Nvm nvm, I pay first"
"Aiyah I pay lah"
With all these being said, Montana Brew Bar is definitely a good place for coffee and waffles! They also have some mains on the menu so if you're looking for something heavier, do give it a shot and let me know if it's worth the try ;)
Thank you guys for being such spontaneous people to have dinner together! Really glad to have forged this friendship that is now about 6 years old? Pretty insane!
